Linda Lorelle & Dr. Jane Goodall

Linda Lorelle held her annual scholarship fund gala Saturday night at Hyatt Hotel in downtown Houston. The event was attended by hundreds of people who donated thousands of dollars to send some very worthy students to college. Linda opened the event with a ballroom dance that earned the former evening anchor a standing ovation from the audience. Guests also placed thousands of dollars in bids on several auction items. The highest bid was for $15000 to have a party and dance with former NBA great Clyde Drexler. Lorelle and her husband Lou Gregory have given out 235 scholarships since the program started back in 1991. And there are plans to expand it this year. Way to go Linda. The Insite snapped several photos at the event of some familiar faces: Melinda Spaulding, Felix Chevalier, Clyde Drexler, Rusty Hardin, Lou Gregory, Linda Lorelle, Anita Jones, Diane Wheeler, Khambrell Marshall, Don Clark, Sibila Vargas, Sam ‘First Appearance on Insite’ Kee, Byron Nichols, Paula Harris, Miya Shay and the list goes on.
